TAWC hosts the Animal Welfare Summit in Sydney

On April 9th 2019, we held our inaugural Animal Welfare Summit in Sydney to discuss the foundation and shaping of The Animal Welfare Collaborative with various stakeholders from government, industry, academia and the community. There were 60 organisations present, who all gave feedback on our Strategic Plan and discussed the merit of working together in the future to improve animal welfare in Australia. Overall, there was widespread enthusiasm for the ideals of The Animal Welfare Collaborative and an interest in taking the next steps together.
