About
Dr Benjamin Allen has been involved with wildlife management and research since he was a child, and has been employed in the private, public and university sectors as a wildlife ecologist, conservationist and manager since 2005, specialising in predation management and human-wildlife conflict. He is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Southern Queensland (USQ) in Australia, a Research Associate with Nelson Mandela University (NMU) in South Africa, and the co-chair of the IUCN Canid Specialist Group’s Dingo Working Group. Dr Allen investigates practical solutions to a variety of complex wildlife management problems around Australia and internationally, often in extensive cropping and livestock grazing systems and peri-urban areas.
